World Land Trust (WLT) is strengthening its Communications and Development teams by appointing a Creative Assistant. This position offers a real opportunity for someone starting their career, with lots of opportunity to grow and develop their skills. The successful candidate will be joining an organisation committed to the long-term conservation of the world’s critically threatened habitats and their endangered species. The Creative Assistant will work with a small, dynamic and knowledgeable team providing creative thought and inspiring ideas across a wide range of media and disciplines.

WLT is based in the UK and is unique within the conservation world. Reaching its 30th year of operation the Trust has grown from small beginnings, saving critically threatened forest in Belize to become an internationally respected conservation organisation with a proven track record, working with 32 overseas conservation NGOs on protection of threatened habitats. WLT has developed its modus operandi without losing its vision, integrity and transparency.
What you’ll be doing
The Creative Assistant will help WLT’s Communication and Development teams promote and clearly demonstrate the mission and ethos of WLT through the production of creative content, both printed and digitally.
WLT is looking for someone with a creative mind who is capable of taking and interpreting a brief to ensure that our message is communicated in a vibrant and engaging manner. You will need to be able to demonstrate your creative thought process, and your graphic skills using the latest creative packages (primarily Adobe Creative Suite).
You will also support the ongoing management of the WLT media library which holds our extensive archive of images.
Some experience of video would be desirable but not essential as there will be opportunities for training in this area.

We are looking for a candidate who is keen to work in an environment where they can use their existing skills with opportunities to develop. The candidate will be a creative thinker with the ability to bring their ideas and those of other members of the team to life. The candidate will be someone who is aware of the creative world around them and will be able to bring to demonstrate this in a practical away.
The post is full time, based in WLT’s offices in Halesworth, Suffolk.
Salary i.r.o £16,500
