Senior Digital Designer for online fashion label

Principal responsibilities:

  • Creatively executes communication design
  • Delivers highly creative designs for online e-commerce website
  • Leads and inspires a team of designers effectively whilst developing them to their full potential and delivering results for the business
  • Creates a range of creative assets
  • Ensures the design process works from brief to concept across mobile, web, retail and email design
  • Liaises with the Digital Marketing team to create design elements across all areas of the business, ensuring they keep within the brand guidelines
  • Develops, implements and drives the digital design strategy, working closely with the Digital Design Manager
  • Takes responsibility for the visual appearance of the brand e.g. websites and digital marketing assets, in-store graphics, maintaining brand continuity at all times
  • Owns and drives the design with UI customer journey optimisation
  • Champions design innovation within all communication ensuring the brand is at the forefront of Ecommerce, Fashion and Retail.
  • Drives online traffic and improves customer experience
  • Acts as a design resource for the company, supporting with Brand guidelines, Retails POS, Windows, Brand booklets, PR events and the brand guidelines
  • Builds strong working relationships with other departments in the business including PR, retail and design
  • provides support for junior members of the team
  • Is consistently aware of fashion commerce sites , seasonal campaigns designs and developments within the industry

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience at a senior level, preferably in a fashion or retail environment
  • Good knowledge of current digital and fashion trends
  • Full understanding of typography, colour theory, layout principles, web standards, best practice and user experience
  • Generating ideas within the brand guidelines
  • Creative, passionate, enthusiastic and innovative nature, participating in all forms of creative discussions
  • Strong organisation skills, efficiently manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Confidence to delegate tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards and ensuring only the best work is released
  • The ability to keep a cool head and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work as a team and integrate with others

Technical Requirements:

  • Excellent skills in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Experience of print design
  • Strong knowledge of the capabilities of HTML, Dreamweaver, CSS and JavaScript
  • In depth knowledge of UI with work that shows innovation in this area
